Preloved's recent meteoric growth has now been officially recognised by Hitwise, a service that measures the most popular web sites across the globe. In fact, Preloved leaped in at the number 5 spot in their UK "Shopping and Classifieds & Classifieds" category, based on the number of visits between July and September 2007. We are of course delighted and once again we would like to thank all our members, whose enthusiasm for all things second hand is propelling Preloved forward to become the best place to buy and sell on the Internet.

Seasoned Prelovers will know the importance of getting a status check on a car before parting with their hard earned cash. These checks will tell you if the car is stolen, is an insurance write off or if there is any outstanding finance on the car. The good news is that the RAC has just slashed the price of their data check to just £5 (was £24.99). The checks are available instantly and are powered by HPI (the company that originated this type of check). The last six months have been pretty exciting here at Preloved. We started the year with a massive redesign of the site, launching a brand new look and introducing a number of new features and refinements to help bring together buyers and sellers as quickly and as easily as possible. The results have been explosive! In June 2007, the number of pages viewed was double that of December 2006. That's 100% growth in just six months!
